ABOUT THE SEMINAR/WORKSHOP

Seminars
Jeff will cover the ins and outs of the stand up comedy business, review tools to help you advance your career such as marketing, networking, protocol, due diligence, finding and creating opportunities, audition do's and don'ts, including a summary of all the major players in the business - agents and managers, comedy festivals, record labels, content websites, etc., all backed up with anecdotes and examples.  Plus all the skill sets that bookers, talent executives, club owners, and casting directors look for in a comedian. This is a 3-hour speaking lecture only with Q&A. Open to everyone.

Workshops
Here you will perform live, then receive critiques and feedback within a candid but highly supportive environment. Jeff will help you discover ways to find your own voice and point of view so that you can separate yourself from the pack and stand out as a unique performer in a crowded landscape. You will also learn from each other in this intimate and interactive setting.  Class sizes are kept small so that each person receives adequate time for individual feedback and to absorb and study fellow students' sessions for further helpful pointers.  Think of it similar to sports teams watching tapes of their opponents.  You can learn as much from watching others as a barometer for your own progress.   Prior performing experience required.   Workshop sessions are approximately 3 hours.
